Recently I saw a segment on CNN Headline
News by Clark Howard who said that the temporary help
industry reported higher demand for temporary workers in
October which usually is the first phase of a recession
turnaround as employers dip their toes into the water of
rehiring. At Adams, we've had a
52% spike in first interview activity in the month of
November

over our year to date monthly interview
average! With so many banks this year not replacing
valuable staff, we see the potential for a hiring surge with
new budgets on the table for 2010! The holidays are
fast approaching. I thought it would be appropriate to
share two pieces of information that I found interesting.
The first is an
Iowa Bankers Association Holiday Survey on the
proportion of banks that are closed on all major holidays.
We get asked very frequently by bankers for this
information. The second is just an awesome "feel good"
face book story that was emailed to an associate of mine by
